I have been wanting to do a shoot like this for years, and I thought that there was no time like the present to create a styled shoot centered around mermaids. I bought a mermaid tail from Fin Fun a few years back and ended up taking some photos with it for my senior thesis exhibition, but those photos never made it to the final selections. So here we are years later and creating the photos of my dreams with flowers, bath bombs, sparkles galore! *insert sparkle emoji here*
Jessica of Hawkhouse reached out to me so that we could collaborate with our work. She creates the most beautiful gemstone jewelry that have been admiring from afar for a while now so I was ecstatic when she asked me to collaborate with her. I picked out a couple Moonstone and Tanzanite rings that I liked together and created a shoot inspired by them. Then Emily brought some flowers with her, and we went out to create this imagery. There will likely be another collaboration between me and Hawkhouse in the future, and I'm so excited to get to imagine another world for Jessica's beautiful gems.

I met up with Jamie and Ryder at Van Buren Park with their adorable pup, Beans, for their engagement session. We luckily got to take pictures between the rain and snow that day. Scroll down to the bottom so you can take a look at Jamie's beautiful ring. Thanks for braving the cold with me, and I cannot wait for your wedding next year!
If anyone else wants to bring their dog to your engagement shoot with me, please do! There's no better way than to celebrate your love with your fur baby, and the more the merrier (I also seriously love dogs).
