Lauren + Mike, Fall Engagement at Green Lakes

I had such a wonderful time with Lauren and Mike during their fall engagement session at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville, NY. We walked the entire loop around Green Lake, stopping at every picture-perfect spot along the way. The early fall colors were just starting to show, and the golden light reflecting off the water made for the dreamiest photos.

They brought along their sweet dog (who completely stole the show!) and Lauren’s mom came to help so we could get plenty of photos both with and without their pup. As we walked, we chatted about their upcoming Tailwater Lodge wedding, and I could already tell how excited they are to celebrate surrounded by their family and friends.

Lauren and Mike first met on Hinge during Covid. Their first date was at Laci’s Tapas Bar in Syracuse, masks and all! They clicked instantly, started dating soon after, and moved in together just seven months later. Fast forward to August 2024, when Mike proposed on the beach in Ocean City, Maryland, with both of their families there to witness the moment. Lauren said she had a small hunch it might be coming but was still totally surprised (and her dad even happy cried!).

Together, they love being outdoors camping, walking their dog, taking scenic drives, and spending time in the garden they built at home. Their joy and connection made photographing them feel completely effortless.

If you’re recently engaged and looking for inspiration for your own engagement photos in Central New York, Green Lakes State Park is such a stunning location in any season. As a Syracuse wedding and engagement photographer, I love helping couples create sessions that reflect who they are, whether that means bringing your dog, hiking through nature, or exploring one of Upstate New York’s most beautiful parks.
