Courtney + Matthew’s Rustic Barn Wedding at Curtis Manor
Courtney and Matt celebrated their love at Curtis Manor on a gorgeous September day, hosting a rustic barn wedding that was full of warmth and charm. From the moment we arrived, I could tell their day was going to be special. We started the morning photographing details while Courtney and Matt got dressed, making sure to capture all of the little touches that made their wedding uniquely theirs.
One of my favorite moments of the day was the father daughter first look. The emotion in that sweet moment was so real and touching. Afterward, we headed over to Matt for their first look, and I could feel their excitement as they finally saw each other. We spent a little time with the wedding party and family for photos before sneaking away to get ready for the ceremony.
The ceremony at Curtis Manor was absolutely stunning. I loved the way the light streamed through the stained glass above them, casting a warm glow on Courtney and Matt as they exchanged vows. Afterward, we took more family photos during cocktail hour, including a special shot with the wedding quilt that Matt’s mom made as a keepsake.
The reception was lively and full of love. Their entrances led right into a beautiful first dance, then Courtney shared a dance with her dad and Matt danced with his mom. The Best Man and Maid of Honor gave thoughtful toasts that had everyone smiling and laughing. After dinner, we ran outside to grab some sunset wedding photos under the outdoor pavilion and near the apple orchard. The golden light was perfect, and we even got a few nighttime shots after the sun went down that were just stunning. Courtney had fun showing off her custom Converse wedding shoes, which made for some playful photos too.
The dance floor stayed packed all night, and the couple paused only to cut their red velvet cake from The Gingersnap Bakery. Later, their guests lined up for a sparkler exit, which was the perfect way to end the night. Before leaving, Courtney and Matt shared a private last dance, soaking in all the joy from their day. It was such a wonderful celebration, and I loved documenting every single moment.
