Molly + Joshua’s Cazenovia Engagement Session

This fall morning at Delphi Falls County Park was the perfect backdrop for Molly and Joshua’s engagement session. As a Syracuse wedding photographer, I love it when couples choose meaningful locations that highlight the beauty of Central New York. Delphi Falls is one of those gems. It’s peaceful, scenic, and has just the right mix of trails, waterfalls, and overlooks that make every engagement session feel unique.

We met early in the morning while the light was still soft, giving everything a warm glow. Since the upper trail was open after renovations, we hiked up together, stopping at each overlook along the way. The view of the waterfall from above was stunning, and the changing leaves added a touch of autumn magic even though it was still early in the season. Molly and Joshua were naturals in front of the camera—laughing, holding hands, and soaking up the crisp fall air. We paused along the trail for quiet moments, and of course, I made sure to get a close-up of Molly’s gorgeous engagement ring.

After finishing up at Delphi Falls, we made our way to Lakeland Park in Cazenovia for more portraits along Cazenovia Lake. The lake views and stone arches gave us a whole new vibe, adding variety to their gallery. The final touch of the morning was photographing Molly’s ring against the brilliant red leaves of a burning bush. There were some of my favorite detail shots from the day.

Sessions like this are such a wonderful reminder of why I love photographing couples in Central New York. Whether it’s the rolling trails of Delphi Falls, the lakeside charm of Cazenovia, or the historic elegance of their future wedding venue, Belhurst Castle, Molly and Joshua’s love story is already surrounded by beautiful backdrops.

I can’t wait to celebrate with them at Belhurst Castle and capture their wedding day in the Finger Lakes. Until then, I’ll be reliving this morning’s golden light, changing leaves, and the joy of documenting their engagement.
