Carlie + Joe's Engagement Photos in Snow

Oh my gosh, I had so much fun shooting these engagement photos in the snow for Carlie and Joe! It’s not every day that my couples are up for adventuring out in wintertime, but we really couldn’t have asked for better weather. It was the perfect day with a snow-covered ground and big soft flakes falling from the sky throughout the shoot.

Carlie and I went to high school together. She and Joe actually moved their wedding date to fit my schedule, all so they could hire me as their wedding photographer. What an honor!

We met up at their house for some engagement photos in the snow. They have a ton of property, and it’s where their wedding will take place this year, so it felt natural to do the shoot there. Winter engagement pictures are not only fun to take, but they look great on your wall! These will be such a fun juxtaposition next to their late summer/early fall wedding photos.

The couple went all out for the shoot, with coordinating outfits and blankets, all in jewel tones. We started off by taking some family photos with them and their daughter. I love when we get to include kids in the engagement session experience. I hope this is a special memory for her as she gets older - the day she got to play with Mom and Dad in the snow!

Joe popped some champagne and shook it. It ended up all over Carlie (although he swears it was an accident!) They both erupted into laughter and the whole thing made for some amazing candid photos. You can really see how these two were absolutely up for anything during the shoot. They had a blast running around and rolling in the snow, which made for some super cute and romantic engagement photos.

Overall, the entire shoot was a blast, and taking engagement photos in the snow is something I would 100% recommend for future couples who are considering it. I can’t wait for Carlie and Joe’s wedding day. It’s almost here!
