Alyssa & Sebastian’s engagement session in Oswego, NY was everything they hoped for—woodsy, cozy, and full of joyful winter magic.

I met Alyssa and Sebastian shortly after they booked me as their wedding photographer, and we scheduled their engagement session for a brisk day in January. They met while attending SUNY Oswego, bonding over shared interests in student clubs. When they described their vision, it included “photos in the woods, maybe with twinkly lights to add a little romance and a holiday feel. Anything with a cozy, cabin vibe.”

We brought that vision to life at Fallbrook Lodge, nestled in the snowy landscape of Upstate New York. Surrounded by rustic red barns, pine trees, and soft falling snow, we captured playful and romantic moments—including snowball tosses and warm embraces beneath twinkle-lit branches. Their laughter made the cold completely worth it!

After exploring the lodge, we headed to the SUNY Oswego campus for some lakeside shots on the edge of Lake Ontario. While they’ll have plenty of lakefront photos on their wedding day at Bayshore Grove this May, I couldn’t resist giving them a snowy sneak peek of the lake’s beauty.

Between the sweet moments, genuine giggles, and glistening snow, this engagement session perfectly captured Alyssa & Sebastian’s connection. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding day—it’s going to be nothing short of magical!
