Hi! My name is Holly, and my husband Nick and I got married this August, amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Nick and I had originally planned on getting married at Cicero United Methodist Church in October. Eventually, this changed, and we decided to go ahead with our church ceremony as planned, just with fewer guests. Our guest list ended up being about twenty people -- our parents, our siblings, my grandparents, and a few aunts and uncles.

I asked my 2020 bride Heather if she would answer a few questions about her experience planning a wedding. Her answers from their intimate Memory Lane Farms wedding are below!

Bryce and Brianna's Green Lakes State Park Intimate Wedding is one of my favorites from the Fayetteville NY area yet with family details from her brother who officiated their ceremony to grandma's dress, a second wedding, the backyard reception, and the rain. Emilie met Jordan while she was auditioning for graduate school in Ithaca, where he’s from. From the way she told me about Jordan and how the photos were going to be a surprise, I knew they would be so sweet together! We met up at Breitbeck Park to start taking pictures. The golden, glowy sunlight was perfect as they got cozy, ran around in the snow, and even had a snowball fight. When it was time, we headed to Bristro 197 for drinks, dinner, and the celebration with their parents.

Heather and I have been talking all year about planning her June Memory Lane Farms Wedding with Kyle. When Covid hit, we chatted about potentially even rescheduling their wedding to next year. But when she asked me if I would be interested in photographing their marriage if they still got married on their original wedding date, of course I said yes and was so excited they didn’t have to wait another year to get married!

Meaghan and John’s gorgeous winter wedding at the Traditions at the Links in Syracuse, New York is here on the blog today. Meaghan and John both love Christmas, and John is the perfect rosy-cheeked Santa to her Mrs. Clause. Their wedding, thanks to their incredible team who helped pull the magical day off, is one that everyone will remember!

Nicole and Miguel’s wedding was the perfect mid-October day. It was complete with autumn, earthy tones and pops of robin’s egg blue, silver, and white. Nicole looked so regal walking down the aisle with her dad, and they had the sweetest ceremony surrounded by friends and family. The vision of their day was actually to celebrate their families from different backgrounds! I’d say it was a hit!

Jojo and Tony’s 1920s themed wedding at Traditions at the Links was the perfect example of having a wedding on a budget and still putting together an amazing wedding. Jojo is so sweet she’s offered to chat to other brides with a smaller budget on how to create a high end feeling wedding. Antonia and Collin had the most gorgeous wedding at Our Farm in Manlius, NY! The entire day was full of local beer from IBU Brewery as Collin had designed for their cans this past year! These two opted to do a first look in the garden, shared their first beer together as husband and wife, had a mini donkey as their wedding crasher. They even shot pumpkins off into the distance with a trebuchet!
