Suzie + Dylan’s Springtime Engagement Photography in Downtown Syracuse, NY

Suzie and Dylan reached out to me in the spring to inquire about engagement photography in downtown Syracuse NY. They got my name from a friend and I’m so glad! Between the gorgeous weather and their infectious passion for each other, this entire session ended up being utter perfection.

Syracuse’s Franklin Square Park is such a dreamy spot for springtime engagement photography. The square is bursting with cherry blossoms, magnolia trees, and daffodils in bloom, which makes for an amazing backdrop. We wandered around downtown Syracuse at a leisurely pace, stopping every so often to take advantage of a unique spot or the perfect lighting. We opted for a mid-afternoon session, and I was thrilled that the sun decided to hang around. I love the bold colors that the full sun creates, and this day was no exception! There isn’t a time of day or year that I shy away from when it comes to creating exceptional images.

Suzie and Dylan had such a light, playful energy and they weren’t afraid to really go for it with my posing prompts. When I told them to pretend they were seeing each other for the first time in months, they embraced in a hug so intense it put a lump in my throat. One of my favorite photos from their entire engagement photography session was when they had a magnolia blossom petal fight. It’s moments like these that I’m so happy to be a Syracuse NY photographer for people in love.

Thanks so much to Suzie and Dylan for being flexible and finding time in your busy schedules for this super fun laughter-filled session. I wish you both so much love and light!
