Kaeley + Dallas’ Forest Photoshoot at Three Falls Woods

I was so excited when Kaeley and Dallas reached out to plan a forest photoshoot to celebrate their recent engagement. I’ve known these two for years, and since the moment they got together, I knew they were a perfect match! They got engaged while on a trip to Los Angeles, and it felt so fitting to be able to document the next chapter in their story together at the beautiful Three Falls Woods in Manlius, NY.

The nature preserve has everything that Kaeley and Dallas love about the outdoors in Central NY— woods, rocky cliffs, and of course, waterfalls. I’ll never get sick of the natural magnificence of our surroundings in this part of the country, and I love when I have clients who appreciate it even more than I do!

We started our journey through the park, stopping along the trail at the cliff for a few pictures before heading to the first waterfall. Their immediate willingness to get in the water made it clear this engagement session was going to be awesome!

Kaeley and Dallas brought along their dog, Peach, who added her own bit of personality to the photos. The second waterfall wasn’t too far away, and had the perfect little spot for them to climb up with Peach for some cute photos above the falls.

After a quick outfit change, we headed to the third waterfall, and the setting sun peeking through the trees was stunning. I made sure to get some photos showing off their tattoo sleeves as they held hands, then I had a little fun getting some ring shots inside the waterfall stream. I played around with the angles of the waterfall and sunset, and these photos of Kaeley and Dallas are some of my favorite shots of their entire session!

We were almost done, so we got a photo of their hands showing off Kaeley’s ring, with Peach’s paw on top, which was so sweet! We stumbled across some wildflowers on the walk back to our cars, and I grabbed a few final photos.

I had so much fun photographing Kaeley and Dallas’ engagement photos! I can’t wait for their 2025 wedding.
