Hailey + Ben’s Funny Engagement Photos at Green Lakes State Park

When Hailey reached out about engagement photos, she said that she and Ben wanted some traditional posed photos of course… but that they also wanted some funny engagement photos. To be honest, I wasn’t quite sure what “funny” photos would entail, but I’m always down for something different, so it was an easy yes for me! We decided on Green Lakes State Park for their awkward photoshoot, and I was pretty excited leading up to it.

They showed up in well-thought-out outfits with an up-for-anything attitude. They looked so cute together, and I directed them through different poses and prompts as we made our way around the park. Even with these more traditional photos, it was clear that Hailey and Ben loved being goofy together. They seemed to turn every moment into one that ended in laughter.

Once we had sufficiently filled their quota of “normal” engagement photos, they changed into their second outfits, which consisted of head-to-toe denim and a super stylish rolled-up pant leg sported by Ben. I’m completely in love with the ideas these two brought to their session. We spent the second half of our time doubled-over in laughter as they struck awkward pose after awkward pose.

The whole thing made for such a memorable session! Of course, before ending our time together, I made sure to grab a few more nice ones of the two of them—denim and all.
