Jenna + Mike’s Fall Wedding at Hayloft on the Arch

It was a perfect late October day for Jenna and Mike’s fall wedding at Hayloft on the Arch in Vernon Center, NY. The moment I walked in the door, Jenna handed me a box full of all her beautiful details to style and photograph. I love an organized bride! It’s so appreciated and saves me a ton of time tracking stuff down. Everyone finished getting ready and Jenna put on her dress - a strappy V-neck with a bodice covered in floral applique. She looked stunning!

Jenna and Mike skipped the first look, which made for a super emotional moment as Jenna walked down the aisle and they locked eyes for the first time. It was a brisk and cloudy day, which made the gorgeous fall colors on the trees behind them really pop. I absolutely love that they included their dog, Riley, in the wedding as well, donning an adorable bowtie that matched the bridesmaid dresses.

When the ceremony was done, we headed out into the field with the entire wedding party to get some fun photos of the whole group. Once the bridesmaids and groomsmen were dismissed, the newlyweds, videographers, and I explored the property, taking turns with posing ideas. Working with videographers can be such a fun experience, because they bring new ideas to the table, and really force me to think creatively about my angles so we can all capture what we need without wasting time.

It was such a personal and elegant barn wedding reception, filled with special details. Each table included notes written by Jenna’s students explaining what love is to them. Their answers ranged from adorable to hilarious! The wedding party was introduced, then Jenna and Mike went straight into their first dance, followed by parent dances and speeches.

Jonathan of Classy Cat Entertainment kept the dance floor packed all night, but I managed to pull the happy couple away for a few minutes of nighttime photos outside. They opted for a faux-exit, so everyone joined them outside to take some sparkler exit photos.
