Erin & Ben’s Summer Engagement Photos at the Lake Ontario Bluffs

The Lake Ontario Bluffs are perfect for every season and every occasion, but there’s something really special about summer engagement photos. I met up with Erin and Ben at the Oswego Bluffs, and enjoyed spending time getting to know them and capturing their relationship.

We ventured to the top of the bluffs first. There are a few spots that overlook the lake and feel nothing short of magical. Each time I take my clients here, I’m reminded how lucky we are to live in a place like this. I made sure to take plenty of photos of Erin and Ben in front of this gorgeous backdrop.

There are some areas of tall grass at the top of the bluffs, and it’s the perfect way to add some greenery and variety to the photos. These two had no problem loosening up and enjoying themselves. There’s nothing that makes an engagement session go better than a couple who is willing to have a little fun! That’s how you really make the most of your time with me.

After a short while, we made our way to the bottom of the bluffs. It may have been cloudy, but there was plenty of light, and I loved the way it wrapped around Erin and Ben in the photographs. There was a bit of pinkish haze, which created the perfect atmosphere for their images.

I had them walk up and down the shore so we could get both Lake Ontario and the bluffs in the background. Then I found the perfect piece of driftwood to snap some pictures of Erin’s engagement ring. We ended our session in a little area by the lake where some small trees framed Erin and Ben as the sun was setting.

What a great time we had! I’m looking forward to their wedding at Bayshore Grove in May!
