Brianna + Mike’s Elegant Ballroom Wedding at Marriott Syracuse Downtown

I knew going into Brianna and Mike’s wedding day that it was going to be super special, but the moments that unfolded inside the Marriott Syracuse Downtown made for an elegant ballroom wedding that I won’t soon forget!

When we arrived, everyone was just finishing up getting ready, and Brianna and Mike were anxious to move on to the first look. I set Mike up on the balcony, overlooking the Grand Ballroom, as he anxiously waited for his bride. Brianna arrived and they shared a sweet moment, seeing each other for the first time that day.

I snapped a few photos of them on the balcony before we moved to the ballroom below. The wedding party and their immediate family joined us for some photos in the ceremony space. I loved how they had the ballroom set up for the ceremony - it made for some perfect locations for photos of the happy couple! We headed into the lobby for some stunning portraits of Brianna and her elegant lace dress, along with a few fun ones with their wedding party on the staircase.

Downtown Syracuse was glowing on this gorgeous August Day, so we headed over to Franklin Square Park for more photos. After a few pictures with their families, the three of us wandered around the park and took our time capturing the sweet moments between them.

We had a little downtime before the wedding ceremony, which they used to get settled and mentally prepare for the moment everyone had been waiting for. It was clear just how much love Brianna and Mike’s guests had for them. Brianna’s family even traveled from China for the occasion! During the ceremony, some of them were video chatting with family members in China who couldn’t make it. The whole ceremony was very sweet, and ended with a kiss and celebratory exit.

Brianna and Mike wasted no time making their way around the cocktail hour to mingle with guests. Once they’d done a lap, we gathered up their extended families for a few final portraits.

The reception space inside the grand ballroom was astonishing with the large floral centerpieces, gold Chiavari chairs, and oversized chandeliers. The wedding party was introduced into the reception, then Brianna and Mike shared their first dance with all eyes on them. Brianna and her dad danced together, followed by Mike and his mom— both of which were super touching.

Before we left, Brianna, Mike, and I went around to each table so they could get photos with all of their guests. I love being able to do this for my clients on their wedding day!
