Kristia + Joseph, Downtown Syracuse
I met up with these two in front of the Oncenter, where they’re planning on getting married in the fall. We took pictures in the ballroom as they imagined how their wedding will look. After walking around the space, we went across the street to take pictures outside the Everson Museum. The fall leaves and city backdrop were stunning!
Holly + Nick, Beak and Skiff Apple Orchards, Syracuse Wedding Photographer
These two are the sweetest couple. They met at SUNY Oswego, and had been together for almost 7 years. They have an apartment together where they love to read, cook, and spend time together with their two black cats. Nick popped the question right after he got home with the ring, even though they were planning on getting engaged during a trip, because he was “too nervous and excited to wait!”
Matt + Mariah, Cazenovia, NY
Matt and Mariah love trying different beers and breweries so we were able to hang out at Empire brewery in Cazenovia. After finishing a beer and catching all the good photo spots, we headed to Lorenzo State Historic Site, just down the road, complete with an outfit change. If you have never been here, it’s a beautiful place to just walk around and explore!
Gauthier Family Session, Beaver Lake Nature Center
Courtney reached out to me since she had won a 1 hour session from Symphoria. It had just become fall, but the temperatures were anything but fall weather. It was one of the hottest days of September, but we were still able to take pictures of all of them in hockey gear. She’s a self proclaimed “hockey mom,” and I loved their energy!
Traditions at the Links Wedding, Joneshia & Anthony, NY Wedding Photographer
Jojo and Tony’s 1920s themed wedding at Traditions at the Links was the perfect example of having a wedding on a budget and still putting together an amazing wedding. Jojo is so sweet she’s offered to chat to other brides with a smaller budget on how to create a high end feeling wedding. If you are interested in learning more, let me know and I can connect the two of you!
Our Farm Manlius Wedding, Antonia & Collin, NY Wedding Photographer
Antonia and Collin had the most gorgeous wedding at Our Farm in Manlius, NY! The entire day was full of local beer from IBU Brewery as Collin had designed for their cans this past year! These two opted to do a first look in the garden, shared their first beer together as husband and wife, had a mini donkey as their wedding crasher. They even shot pumpkins off into the distance with a trebuchet!
Loren + Matthew, Hotel Syracuse, Fingerlakes Ballroom
Loren and Matt connected with me almost instantly for their Hotel Syracuse wedding! I was dreaming up ways to make their wedding day special on my way to and from work while I was working downtown. There was an emotional first look with Loren’s grandpa, paper cranes fo seat cards, rooftop photos during golden hour, Glazed and Confused donuts, and Italian cookies!
Julia + John, Backyard Wedding, West Monroe, NY
Julia and John got married on the 10th of August at her parents’ house. It was a stunning DIY backyard wedding. The items they used to create this day were found and refurbished to use as wedding decor - the dressers (for donuts!), chairs for outdoor seating and pictures, rugs for the aisle leading up to the ornate black arbor where they said vows. They danced all night long until there was a massive bonfire behind their house.
Heather + Kyle, Marietta, NY
We met up with Heather and Kyle on her family’s farm for their engagement pictures. Heather grew up in her parent’s house, which is just across the street from her grandparents. There were so many different photo opportunities here. We had her grandpa’s classic red Ford Crown Victoria car, a pond, a wagon, tractor, a cornfield, and a grain field too! They made for the dreamiest pictures!
Emily + Wesley, Bad Seed Cider Co, Highland, NY
Now I’m not going to lie, I was not their their wedding photographer, but Emily’s bridesmaid who could not help herself but bring her camera! I snuck them away from dancing for twilight photos by the flowering trees, documented Wesley’s end of the night singing, accompanied by his brother on piano, and captured their sparkler exit.
