Tiffany + Chris’ Sunset Engagement Photos along Lake Ontario

Tiffany and Chris wanted sunset engagement photos that felt laid-back with a photojournalistic flair, and these turned out so perfect. They’re full of adventure, so Tiffany imagined photos taken someplace with water and a diverse landscape, like the Bluffs near Oswego. When we discussed other locations, nothing even compared to the bluffs, so I was thrilled when they ended up choosing it for their photo shoot. Tiffany is also attending SUNY Oswego, so needless to say, we all love the area!

After we met up, we started walking to the top of the bluffs and chatting. They told me they’d been looking forward to this session all day while they carted their sons around to soccer tryouts and games. They considered it a fun date night after such a long day! I love when couples show up to their sessions ready to just spend time together and have fun.

These two were complete naturals in front of the camera. They spent the entire session barefoot, and just let their genuine connection shine through. We took photos overlooking the bluffs, then walked through the goldenrod. They were so playful and energetic! We found an area where they could rest and cozy up together, which ended up being some of my favorites from the session.

As we made our way down the bluffs to the waterfront, everything felt so dreamy. The sun had been shining so brightly but was starting to set, and it gave the water a beautiful texture. It popped out from behind a hazy cloud one last time as Tiffany and Chris were wrapped up in each other on a large rock. Their adventurous spirit came out as well, and they hopped in the water, pants and all. These photos with the cotton candy sky really completed the session!

I absolutely adored getting to know Tiffany and Chris and photographing their amazing personalities. I know their wedding at The Pier is going to be so much fun, I can’t wait!
