Tabitha + Brandon's Goddess Maternity Shoot

Tabitha’s goddess maternity shoot was nothing short of magical. From the dress and the crown to the chemistry between her and Brandon and the way her eyes sparkled, I could relive this unique maternity shoot over and over.

I’ve known Tabitha since our days at Cazenovia College. As soon as she found out she was pregnant, she remembered my senior capstone project and knew she wanted a fantasy-inspired maternity session. She promptly enlisted another Cazenovia graduate and friend, Elman Aquino to design a celestial dress for her goddess maternity shoot. It was so exciting to once again team up with Elman just like back in college as we worked together to bring Tabitha’s stunning vision to life.

When I arrived at Tabitha and Brandon’s house, Elman was working on some finishing touches to complete Tabitha’s look. We headed out to the West Thompson Dam Disc Golf Course in Connecticut, which is where they had gotten married. You never know what you’re going to get with November maternity photography, but we lucked out with the most perfect sunny weather and just enough leaves still on the trees to give the background some color.

We explored the park together and found some gorgeous locations to show off Tabitha’s adorable belly and amazing dress. I love the way the sheer sleeves looked over her tattoos, and the way the bottom of the dress flowed when she twirled it. There’s nothing quite like a dress that’s literally made for you. Tabitha ended up looking like an ethereal goddess during the shoot.

Do you have a vision you’d like to bring to life? Maybe it’s not a goddess maternity shoot, but a themed family portrait session or a unique location for your engagement photos. Contact me to chat!
