Rinoldo Family Photo Session at the Onondaga Lake Parkway

I originally met Christine Rinoldo because she was the event designer for Carly and Ven’s wedding in 2019. It was an absolute joy connecting with her at that event, and a double thrill when she reached out to schedule a family photo session with her husband and son Grayson on the Onondaga Lake Parkway.

We met up near the Syracuse University Boathouse. The trail was lush and green, the sun was shining bright, and little Grayson was matching his dad with a white polo and gold chain. Christine was wearing a beautiful floral dress and an infectious smile.

With so much mid-day sun, this shoot was all about angles and shade. Thankfully the area we chose had plenty of big trees and beautiful backdrops. I love how the shots on the dock turned out, which I shot from the shore.

We walked down the trail and found a bridge along with some spotty shade and tall grass. It felt like a hidden gem with the perfect amount of cover and no one else around. Grayson had so much fun, I don’t think he even noticed that it was a photoshoot! That’s truly one of the best parts about being a family photographer. I brought some bubbles me with so he could have a little fun during the in-between moments, and he loved running back and forth from his parents to me, which made for some pretty cute pictures.

Thank you to Christine and Jason for trusting me with your memories! If you’re interested in creating your own memories and having some new photos of your family in the process, reach out. I can’t wait for another year full of family sessions!
