Proposal: Kate + Ryan, Franklin Square Park, Syracuse, NY

Ryan reached out to me through a referral from a friend he went to college with that I worked a wedding with back in 2016! He and I met up at Freedom of Espresso in Franklin Square one afternoon to discuss details of his proposal to Kate! If there is one things I love photographing, it’s proposals!

Ryan and Kate have been together for 6 years and live in an apartment together (with their pup they got after this session, who is the cutest). They both are teachers and enjoy hiking , going to the gym, and playing with their dog. The plan was for them to go to brunch in Skaneateles, and when they were back in Syracuse, they would go for a walk around the park.

When it came time for the proposal, there were chairs set up in the middle of Franklin Square Park from a wedding ceremony earlier in the day, and my mind went straight into problem solving mode. A car pulled up where Ryan had planned to propose to start removing the chairs. Both he and I were nervous as plans changed quickly, but Kate said yes! We then took some quick photos after they were officially engaged. Thank you both for letting me document this special moment!!
