Kenzie + Kyle’s Surprise Proposal at Ventosa Vineyards

I was so excited when I received a message from a woman named Lauren, asking if I was available to photograph a surprise proposal for her sister Kenzie and Kenzie’s boyfriend Kyle. I absolutely love proposal photography. There’s something so special about capturing the exact second someone says “yes” to their forever person.

Kyle decided to pop the question during a trip to Ventosa Vineyards in Geneva, NY. With gorgeous hilltop views of Seneca Lake, this scenic spot was a proposal dream. Even better was the fact that Kyle had arranged for their families to be there too so everyone could celebrate afterward!

When I arrived, I scoped out the property and found the perfect hiding place tucked between rows of grapevines. Only a few people there had any idea what was about to happen, which made the anticipation even more fun! Once Kenzie and Kyle started walking toward the designated spot overlooking the lake, I hustled to get into place for the big moment. Once in position, Kyle dropped to one knee with the lake glistening in the background. Kenzie said yes, and cheers erupted from their families.

After the excitement died down, we grabbed some photos with their loved ones, including a few special ones with Lauren and Will, who helped pull it all together. I made sure to take some engagement photos of just Kenzie and Kyle around the vineyard. These two were glowing with happiness, and the views at Ventosa Vineyards made every shot feel extra special.
